An enduring love...

My life has done everything but remain normal in the past few weeks. I made a decision to leave my job, and maybe even change careers. I've changed my entire wedding from top to bottom to make things easier on my family. We're talking the date, the dress, the location, the guest list. (Photography by Punam Bean and invitations by Paperzest remain, thank goodness!)

But there's been one constant, and there will always be one constant, and that is Mr. Shirlington. He remains supportive and caring and excited about our life together. And I guess I just got to thinking about how love endures.

I was so excited for Wedding Week on Regis and Kelly. When it kicked off this morning, I was immediately in tears. The couple, Kacy Hardenbrook and Jordan Edsall, have two toddler-aged daughters and were engaged on Valentine's Day last year. Then Kacy and the two daughters were severely burned in a house explosion. And you better believe, despite the fact that they have all been burned over their entire bodies, that they barely even survived, the father/fiance has been the rock of the family. And this Friday, he'll marry the mother of his daughters live on Regis and Kelly.

I couldn't help but imagine had it been me...and felt so calm knowing that Mr. Shirlington will always be by my side, no matter what. And I will always be by his.

I wish I didn't have to work this week so that I could watch this!!! Maybe I can catch re-runs on youtube. You'll have to fill us in on which ones are the good ones!

Wow, I was watching Regis and Kelly this Morning the 11th of Feb, saw clips of your wedding and googled it and could not believe your tragic story. You are a truly an inspiration. I pray that the Lord gets your daughters and yourself through a speedy recovery. Sometimes us as humans need to take a step back and thank God for our blessings. You have a great family.

Congratulations
Jo
