Dresses, Designers, Oh My! How to Decide??
Miss Rehoboth with Mother in tow trotted all over DC to try-on dresses for the impending nuptials. We visited Georgetown's Hitched Salon where Sasha helped us through a pile of possibilities and then off to Promise...for the Savvy Bride in Bethesda where Kori catered to my every whim.
It's pretty nice being treated like a real princess, but after about 30 or so dresses I'd narrowed it to three and rank ordered them. I was more than ready to plunk down a pile of cash at Hitched on the very first dress I tried on, but Mrs. Rehoboth (aka Mom) insisted that I take some time to think things over and make the right decision.... A wise idea - or so I thought.
So, now I am left in a state of complete indecision... Help Fairy Godmother - and fellow blog readers!! Which is the right dress for me?!?!
Judd Waddell
Lela Rose
Claire Pettibone

I tried on dresses at those same salons. From the model pics, I like the Claire pettibone the best. But I am in love with Judd Waddell dresses too. I think we would need to see a pic of you IN the dress!
Interestingly, we tried to take pictures, but they wouldn't let us!
Agree that it definitley depends on how you look in the dresses but based on the pictures I have to say the Claire too.
The Judd is sweet but I've seen it a lot. The Lela is a little bit too plain. But the Claire is unique, I haven't seen it on another bride, it has straps instead of strapless and the deatiling is amazing.
In the end though it really depends on how you feel in the dress...go with the one that feels the most "you" and is the most comfy.
agreed w/Miss Capitol Hill that *everyone* wears Judd these days...the Claire Pettibone is quite unique, but is a bit too ornate for my personal taste (a more glam girl could def. pull it off, though!). I actually think you could do a lot to personalizeh the Lela (a brooch, a sash, fun shoes and/or jewelry), so that's probably my favorite of the three.
Lela, Lela, Lela...I love her dresses. It might look plain to the eye, but I bet the fabric is something very cool. I love her dresses, because she uses very interesting fabrics and has impeccable craftsmanship. If I have any room in the budget for our vow renewal after making it a destination affair, that's the first place it's going too. She's amazing!
They are all amazing! I think they are all very different from each other and striking. If you have some important detailed jewelry that you are expecting to wear, than Claire may be too busy.
lela!!!
