What to wear...

Yay, another contract is in! Today, I sent off our deposit and contract to our wedding photographer who has also included our engagement session in his wedding package - AMAAAAZING! Now, what to wear? I want to go for something classic, but definitely me. It's not until October 26, so it may be a little chillier but at least it won't be humid! I think I can stand to wear short sleeves if it's still in the 50s or 60s (if that's what I choose to go with). Also, I checked the the sunset on that day (6:24 pm) so we'll definitely have enough light if we start on time at 3:30 pm.

Now, do I wear:
Cute skinny jeans that could possibly date my outfit in a couple years? But are flattering and make me look taller?
Less trendy and more conservative jeans that flare just a tad at the bottom but complement my derriere (for those backside hand-holding shots)?
Heels? Low heels? Cute flats? (I'm only 5'2" and Signor Keswick is 6'1".)
Short sleeves? Long sleeves? A classic white button-up?
I've already asked my roommate to schedule a manicure date for before for any of those ring close-ups.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of what to consider for an engagement session? Did you and your fiancé coordinate your outfits? I've tried to conduct research, but one can only take so many slow-motion picture slideshows set to Norah Jones or Jack Johnson.

Sometimes I think the flats to show off the height difference makes the pics real cute. Also, I definitely agree and myself would go for a classic timeless look. Since these pics will last forever... Can you take both pairs of shoes? Since you will be walking around, perhaps the flat for more candid walk arounds, and you can switch out the heels for more posed photos?!

my recommendations are:
not the skinny jeans... because of the reason you stated. go for the butt-complimenting ones instead.

and i'm with amyjean above, bring different shoes and change throughout.

as far as the two of you? DO NOT coordinate! no matching outfits. pictures look best when the outfits are complimentary but not matchy-matchy. ie. don't both wear white shirts and jeans, etc.

as far as the top wear something flattering in fit/color/etc. and bring a couple and change those too... maybe short sleeves, a sweater or some sort of cute coverup.

hope it goes well!!

You can't book your own nail appointment?

Definitely bring two pairs of shoes, I love heels and think the derriere would be best with heels but depending on how long your session is, and how much you will be walking, you'll want a pair of flats with you.
I think a great Fall look is really nice, a nice sweater or fall coat with jeans.
where are you taking them?

I think heels, definitely. The height difference is pretty big, so even with heels, you'll still see the difference, but it won't be so stark. Also, heels elongate the legs, and will be more flattering than flats.

As for what to wear, fall has a lot of great options. I've seen a lot of girls do daytime dresses, which are cute and there tend to be lots with timeless looks.

Hi ladies! Thanks for all the advice and support :) I'm definitely going to bring (at least) 2 pairs of shoes and some switches.

And don't worry, I invited my roommate to get a manicure with me. I would never ask someone to book my appointments! ;)
