Bridesmaid Dresses...

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm letting my bridesmaids pick out there own dresses. Now let me explain myself, I have set a color I want (burgundy) and they must find a dress that they can all agree on, and I get final veto power. I have a few reasons for this, but one is there is a variety of sizes and shapes among my friends and I want everyone to be happy. I know this is "my day", but these are the friends that have put up with me for the past year of engagement/many years before that. I want them to look beautiful, and be comfortable in what they are wearing. I mean I've already found my soul mate, who knows if they could meet theirs that night also :)

I have been a bridesmaid many times, each time buying a dress that I know I will never wear again, a dress I don't even like. I wanted to do it different. I've already posted about the Ann Taylor collection, which I Love, they offer dresses that you CAN wear again, what a concept!

Here are a few dresses that I've come across, that meet my requirements of fashionable enough to wear again, but not insanely expensive! I would love to hear what other brides-to-be have found!

^ This beautiful dress is from Jones New York and is available at Nordstrom for $160

^ This would be the color burgundy of the dress from J-Crew

^Same dress-different color, but a better idea of what it looks like.

I am letting my ladies pick out their attire as well but I'm going rather with a specific style that they have to stick to instead of a color. They are all picking out different colored Ao Dais with the modern neckline from AoDaiVinh.com. The price for a custom-made Ao Dai will be far under $100!!! They're all really excited about it and I'm happy to be able to get them something that will be incredibly comfortable to wear. :)
