flower recon

I've started my florist search now about nine months out--I'm anxious to get another 'big' thing crossed off of the list. I've compiled a list of questions, ideas and requirements to focus my conversations with the different flower mavens in the area, but what I really need are visuals! I have a list of flowers in my color scheme (red) and in season (fall) so I searched for real-life pictures in my fav resource, flickr! There are pictures of anything and everything in flickr!!!! There are several groups that may be of use to you. Try these tags:

red flowers (or white flowers, pink flowers, etc)
wedding bouquet
dahlia (or rose, orchid, any other type of flower, etc)
boutonniere
wedding centerpiece

A lot of flickr users tack on random tags, so it's always helpful to search for two or three tags to narrow down the results (ie: rose + flower, wedding + red, so on and so forth). This is a great resource to compile any "look books" to help convey your vision. But always remember, they are only a starting point for assembling your own unique event!
