Hats Off to You!

Talented Charlottesville photographer Rob Garland recently featured an Alexandria bride on his blog that totally rocked a bridal hat. It's not a style everyone can get away with but when done right it looks great.




Of course on the other side of the pond hats are the norm at weddings...but the guests wear them instead of the bride. British photographer Dan Johnson features some really great hats on his blog.





Alas, I don't think you can force your American wedding guests into hats. However, if I were a Maid of Honor it would be great fun to throw a bridal tea, buy up a few church hats in the off season from discount stores like Marshalls and T.J. Maxx, and then let everyone play dress up at tea! Every woman has to love playing with big hats.
