My Personal Best

My Bride's Year Ahead planner says that a bride should strive to look and feel her personal best on her wedding day. As you may remember, I started working out with a trainer a few weeks ago thinking that I would look perfect if I dropped a few pounds through healthy diet and excercise. I've done pretty well and am on the road to looking hot...

Until the fateful morning 10 days ago when I realized over the past year I've developed some major...wrinkles. It's been a very stressfull and personally difficult year, so I'm absolutely not surprised. My diet was lacking healthy foods in a mojor way and I can't say I made an effort to drink lots of water or even sleep more than 6 hours each night. I've never used wrinkle cream and I've been using clearasil cleanser since 6th grade.

But, still, imagine my dismay when I woke up, stared in the mirror, and realized the little bit of eyemakeup I missed washing my face the night before had settled into a series of deep, long and ugly wrinkles under my eyes. Not pretty.

So here's what I got to remedy this problem to reach my "personal best."

N.V. Perricone Nutritive Cleanser with DMAE: $35
N.V. Perricone ADVANCED Eye Therapy: $95
Loreal Wrinkle Decrease: $20
It hasn't even been 2 weeks, but I have to say, I've seen a huge change in my skin. I've been using all products according to the directions, using the eye therapy under and around the eyes and focusing the wrinkle decrease on my forehead and around my mouth. I've not seen results yet as far as fewer wrinkles, but my skin is so much brighter and clearer.

I'll update you on the improvements after 8 weeks! How are you guys getting to your personal best?

Good for you taking care of your skin. I don't think clearasil is a good choice after the age of say, 20. I never tried Perricone stuff, I like Origins products.

I have done nothing so far but with only 6 months to go, I had better start soon. One thing that helps with the wrinkles is microdermabrasion. I plan to go for a few sessions this year. :)

Way to go!! I just had my first microdermabrasion last week and I must say, I've been glowing ever since. I plan to have two more sessions before the big day -- June 21. BTW, I'm also a big fan of REN products (no parabens, no artificial colors or fragrances, no silicones, etc.)
