Toasting Flutes
A couple of weeks ago, while browsing, or stalking, wedding websites, I came across these toasting flutes on a website called Exclusively Weddings. They cost $325 which is a ridiculous amount of money for 2 glasses. I would never think to buy them for myself.However, when my fiance and I went to register at Bloomingdale's, the Swarovski toasting flutes were there! For $390! Even more expensive. The registry consultant told us that she had them at her wedding and they looked beautiful in wedding photographs, especially when the light bounced off of the stems in just the right way. I fell in love. We decided to register for them, hoping that someone would spend the money on these beautiful flutes. It's a little selfish to register for such an unnecessary, expensive item, I know...but it is my wedding day!

Have you looked anywhere else for your special champagne flutes? Tiffany's has an adorable set (http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=11671373&mcat=&cid=&search_params=s+1-p+2-c+-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+champagne&search=1)
for just $125 for the pair. Still pricey, but less than Bloomy's. And still very cool (it's Tiffany!).
My co-worker bought a set for her big sis's engagement and now she buys them another set for each wedding anniversary.
