Getting Organized

I like to consider myself an organized person. I made a wedding binder (I'd show pictures but I kind of forgot to take them). I live for To-Do lists, I have at least three going on my desk at any given time. My binder is organized by: Reception, Ceremony, Attire, Decorations, Invites, Guest List, Entertainment, Photography, Honeymoon, and Registry. In the front pocket I have checklists from both Real Simple and The Knot that are...unmarked. Sadly. And honestly, I don't even remember the last time I opened my Emily Post planner. Whoops?

Unfortunately, I had a "To Do" list for September and I? Am falling way behind. I wanted to talk to the florist that Clyde's recommended, find a photographer, and research Save the Dates by the end of September. Well September has come and gone my friends. Thanks to a dear friend, I finally found a likely photographer (she found her for me really because I was lost as to what I should ask, what I should look for, etc...), I have an idea what I want for Save The Dates (magnets! Brilliant!) and well, I just need to remember to look at the name that I remember writing down the first time we talked to our planner at Clyde's... I keep forgetting to do that.

What did I accomplish at the one year mark? Well, my wedding party is now in cahoots as my sister/Maid of Honor aren't really speaking (one month and counting), I decided not to change my venue (thank goodness), my dress is ordered, and I have the bridesmaids dresses narrowed down to a few options. I'm doing...well...I'm behind.

Mr. GP will tell me I have "plenty of time! Don't worry about a thing!" But my binder is collecting dust (when it's not getting lost under mountains of STUFF on my dresser), my to do list has next to nothing checked off, and we're about a week away from the eleven month mark. Stress? Yes please!

How are all you other fabulous brides staying organized and/or motivated?

Spreadsheets and my blog. Google docs has a lot of templates for wedding budgets and priority lists and the blog helps me sort my thoughts :)

Agree with Amy Jean. While I have Stephanie jumping on me if I even think of wigging out, Google Docs has helped so much. It helps to just write everything out, especially budget wise.
