Angie and Estee in the Express!
If you spend any time on The Knot message boards, I'm sure you see the frequent requests for contact information for the famous Angie and Estee of alteration and dress-making fame. Well, The Express, the Washington Post's free commuter paper, did all Washington area brides a HUGE favor today by printing their respective numbers in the paper today in the special wedding section!
Apparently both talented ladies were a little hesitant about the publicity, but agreed to have their telephone numbers published. I won't show them here, but if you aren't a commuter or didn't pick up your Express this morning, today's issue is available online! Click here to see the print editions online. Archives only go two weeks back so hurry if you want their contact information!
Speaking of the Post, did anyone go to the bridal show tonight? I heard there were free cocktails, unfortunately (or fortunately?) we had our appointment to pick out the tuxes at Men's Warehouse tonight!

I went. The line for the "complimentary drink" was long (not free cocktails, it was 1 free wine per person. My friend had to ask more than once just to get one ticket for herself., for some reason the guys in tuxes up front didn't want to give 'em out. and We were never even given our raffle tickets... in fact, as me and two friends approached, he pulled the raffle jar away and tried to put it out of sight... we had no clue what it was for until later when they were calling raffle #s and we weren't given one. I arrived at 6:45, so i wasn't SO late as to not recieve one... at least it was free, so i can't complain that i didn't get my money's worth.
That's pretty interesting... BTW If anyone needs their contact information I have always had it :) I use both ladies for alterations. Your location will probably dictate which one you choose to lug your gown to.
Miss Gallery Place and I went last night. You hear a complimentary glass of wine, cheese and wedding stuff, and it sounds good, right? Frankly, it was over-crowded. The line for the free wine was about 40 minutes long. I was lucky I got into the line early. It was so bad that there were the "one complimentary wine" tickets all over the floor. Plus the vendors.... some were good, but frankly none were that inspiring.
