Our song...

Ok Nearlyweds, I need some help. Here we are, about 4 1/2 months from our wedding and we cannot pick a song!! I know it sounds like such a minor issue, but we really can't decide! Mr. CP and I have very different taste in music. Let's just say, if it were up to him it would be some off-color Smashing Pumpkin's song no one has heard except him, and if it was up to me it would be R. Kelly, "Step in the Name of Love," full dance with all bridal party included. As you can imagine, picking a song isn't easy.
We want something that isn't his or mine, but ours. We want something sweet, and something that makes us both smile. Remember, we have a band that specializes in Motown, so it cannot be too far from what is possible for them to learn.
I know this sounds a little silly, but I kind of like the idea of the Wedding Singer song, from the plane. It's funny and makes us both smile. Mr. CP loves "Ooohhh Baby, I love your way" By Peter Frampton, but I think we can do better.

ANY creative ideas? What songs have you considered? HELP!

One of my favorites has always been "Only Have Eyes for You" by The Flamingos.

ALSO, Stevie Wonder's "I Believe When I Fall in Love (With You It'll Be Forever".

That last one you can actually hear in the movie High Fidelity in the last scene as it rolls into credits. One of my FAVORITES forever, and it's so sweet.

Ours, personally, is Billy Joel's "She's Got a Way".

FH and I have such different taste in music, but we finally found our perfect song... Johnny Cash's Walk the Line, but the rendition like in the Levi's commercials... :) IT's perfect b/c its just so true, and we both love the man in black! :)

We already have our song but I really love the song by Jason Mraz called "I'm Yours" and also "Better Together" by Jack Johnson. That's just our type of music. It's sweet without being cheesy and lighthearted so you don't have to ballroom dance to it.

Cruisin' by Smokey Robinson. :) It's sweet, laidback, and in the motown genre!

One of my favorites (though it's a bit more blues) is Lovin' in my Baby's Eye by Taj Mahal. (Yes it was used by Jenna Bush but just ignore that part.)

I love the suggestion of When I Fall in Love - such a great song and fun.
