Mr. Shirlington LOVES...Ferrari's.
What does this have to do with our wedding? Well, I'm renting him one for our wedding day as his wedding gift. When we first started dating, he always talked about how one day we would have one and we would drive off into the sunset. Well, I want to make that dream come true for him. Since I've made most of the wedding decisions (okay all of them) I thought it would be nice for him to wake up to a Ferrari and then use it as our get-away car. If this is going to work, I'm going to have to save every dime to make it happen. Part of me worries that this is a huge waste of $1,595, but then again, he probably feels the same way about wedding flowers.
I've checked out a few luxury rental companies. If your man loves cars, check out Capital Dream Cars or Pure Exotics.
The company I'm using is called Cloud 9 Living. This company is just pure awesome to begin with. Not only can you rent exotic cars, you can purchase an "experience". There's truly something for everyone. So even if your man's second love isn't cars, you can purchase an experience like a live aboard intro-sailing course, a kayaking lesson, triathlete coaching, photography tutoring or a Harley rental. There are a ton more. AND, there are a bunch for us ladies, too, like a complete makeover! All of them are GREAT ideas for wedding gifts. I'm going to be uing this site for many holidays and birthdays to come!

I was considering doing this for my FH but ultimately decided against it because (and as FH confirmed it himself later) renting it for one day and not having it in an area where he can "really drive it" wouldn't be worth it enough for the money.
I'm all about doing this another time but I'm working on some other stuff for the wedding day instead.
