Posh posies

One of my favorite things to do is read books about ways to save money on weddings! One book I read mentioned something about getting bouquets from florists mostly unadorned and then snazzing them up yourself. It mentioned getting "flower jewels" and adding them to your bridal bouquet to set it apart from everyone else's flowers. I'd seen this done before with people's weddings but in all of my wedding shopping I'd never seen anything that didn't look too cheap or weird to add to a bridal bouquet.

Today I came across a site in my search for flowergirl tiaras and I found some bouquet jewels!!! Even though I'm still not sure that I'm sold on the idea of using them, I think they are actually very pretty and could easily be added to DIY bouquets, or add-on bouquets that you get from your florist or from some place like ProFlowers Weddings. Definitely the jewels add something to the decor that is very "bling" and glam but I feel like if it's done right, it could look pretty.

BridalFashionMall.com also offers a terrific selection of all kinds of bridal accessories in addition to the bouquet jewels. Before I got sidetracked with the bouquet jewels I found the tiaras that I think I'm using for my flowergirls. The price does make me cringe a bit (especially since I'm getting TWO) but I feel like it will be money well spent and they will be very well enjoyed by my sweet little nieces. (I'm going to try and find some nice velvet presentation boxes and give them as gifts as the rehearsal dinner!)

Love the idea of bouquet jewells. And particularly using them as an accent on the ribbon wrapping around the stems.
